After an embarrassing start to yesterday, I finished the night on a 3 game streak to put me at 4-7-1 on the day (down $147.50). Looking to carry over that late momentum into the early games today where I’m taking Atlanta +3 (even) in the 1st half against Detroit for $50, Carolina -1 (-105) against Washington 1st half for $52.50, and over 21.5 (-115) Carolina vs. Washington 1st half for $57.50. Also taking San Diego -1 (-110) against the Jets for $55.

UPDATE (10/23/2011 2:39 PM) – Went 2-1 in my 1st half bets thanks to a fumble by Washington in final 30 seconds leading to a Carolina field goal. Going back to my Lions 2nd half bets even though they didn’t cover last week. Taking them at -4.5 (-110) for $55. Also taking under 21.5 (-120) in Bears vs. Buccaneers 2nd half for $60.

UPDATE 2 (10/23/2011 3:59 PM) – My open 1 PM bets are coming down to the line and there’s still too much time to tell how things will turn out. For the 4 PM games, I am going with under 41.5 (-110) in Raiders vs. Chiefs for $55 and Cowboys -7.5 (-120) vs. Rams 1st half for $60.

UPDATE 3 (10/23/2011 5:45 PM) – Those open 1 PM bets all lost but I covered the Cowboys 1st half. Taking Steelers -0.5 (even) vs. Cardinals 2nd half for $50 and Packers -9 (-105) vs. Vikings 2nd half for $52.50.

UPDATE 4 (10/23/2011 8:25 PM) – Taking a 4 game winning streak into the night game and going with over 49 (-110) in Colts vs. Saints for $55.

UPDATE 5 (10/23/2011 10:01 PM) – Only need 9 more points for the over and it’s only halftime. I have seen stuff like this fall apart week after week in college, but I feel pretty safe here. I feel safe enough that I am actually taking over 21 (-115) in the 2nd half for $57.50.
