The Patriots vs. Ravens game has all the signs of a trap game pointing to it. All the talk about the Pats defense, easy strength of schedule, and the last time these two teams met in the playoffs would have one expecting a low point spread. Instead, the Pats are a 9 point favorite which leads me to believe Vegas wants everyone betting on the Ravens. While the Ravens come in as a confident bunch, I feel like the Pats will try to get the lead early and taking them -4.5 (-110) 1st half for $55. Also taking over 25 (-115) 1st half for $115. If I had to pick full game, I would say the Ravens will cover 9 and the game will go over 50 but I just feel like that full game spread is a trap.

For tonight’s Giants vs. 49ers matchup, I see this as another trap setup. The Giants are arguably the hottest team and have already won a tough road game. However, the 49ers defense matches up well and the 49ers have covered every single spread at home this season. For now, I am sticking with under 42 (-120) for $120 but also think the 49ers will cover 3. Check back later in case I decide to take any more!

UPDATED (1/22/2012 4:40 PM) – Belichick fails to challenge an obvious catch and then the Pats kneel with 2 timeouts and a minute to go. Oh well. Taking over 24.5 (-110) 2nd half for $110.
