Trying to pick up some momentum finally after a decent Thursday night. Starting off today with Boston College -7 (-110) vs. Army for $55 and Northwestern +4 (-110) vs. Penn St. for $57.50.

UPDATE (10/6/2012 2:52 PM) – Onto the next wave of games, smelling upset and taking Florida +2.5 (-110) for $55. Also taking Illinois +15 (-110)  for $55.

Finally out of the red on the season and hoping to stay there. You would think I would have learned my lesson by now after three straight years of slows starts thanks to the ridiculous unpredictability of the early seasons. Anyways, for the early games today taking West Virginia -11 (-110) vs. Baylor and under 65.5 (-110) Arkansas vs. Texas A&M for $55 each. Let’s keep the run going!

UPDATE (9/29/2012 2:09 PM) – The touchdown by Baylor as the 1st half closed certainly hurt my chances to cover but I still feel alright about my under bet. Adding onto it and taking under 32.5 (-110) 2nd half of Arkansas vs. Texas A&M for $55. Check back soon for bets on the next wave of games for the day.

UPDATE 2 (9/29/2012 2:50 PM) – WV is pulling away now up 21 midway through the 3rd. Hoping they hold on. Scoring also has slowed down in the Arkansas game with only 3 points so far halfway through the 3rd. For the next wave of games I am taking:

  • Georgia -7.5 (-105) vs. Tennessee 1st half for $52.5o
  • Clemson -3.5 (-115) vs. BC 1st half for $57.50
  • Clemson -7 (-110) vs. BC for $55
  • Michigan St. -2 (-110) for $55.

UPDATE 3 (9/29/2012 5:31 PM) – Turnovers cost me a 10 point Clemson lead and a 17 point Georgia lead. Oh well. Taking Clemson -3 (-110) 2nd half for $110 and Georgia -7.5 (-115) 2nd half for $57.50.

Taking a 5 game streak into the weekend but first getting in a bet I couldn’t turn down tonight. Taking BYU -12.5 (-120) vs. Hawaii 2nd half for $60. After watching the 1st half of this game and knowing how terrible Hawaii has been this season, I expect BYU to continue pouring it on at home.

Finally got the boost I needed to turn things back around last night when I hit all three of my bets. Hoping to carry that momentum into today. Starting off the day with under 50 (-105) in Wisconsin vs. UTEP for $105. Not touching anything else as of now in the early slate of games.

(UPDATE 9/22/2012 1:43 PM) – Wisconsin’s offense looks much better today than the first few weeks of the season. Not sure I will hit the full game under anymore but taking them -7.5 (-110) in the 2nd half for $55 to try cutting into the loss. Also taking under 29 (-110) Ohio St. vs UAB 2nd half for $55.

(UPDATE 2 9/22/2012 3:33 PM) –  Down $100 in the early games and hoping to get it back now. Taking UCLA -4 (-115) 1st half vs. Oregon St for $57.50.

(UPDATE 3 9/22/2012 7:18 PM) – Gave back all that I won last night but still plenty of games to go tonight. Taking Clemson +8 (-110) vs. Florida St. 1st half and Notre Dame -6 (-110) vs. Michigan full game for $55 each. Also taking Georgia -15 (-110) vs. Vanderbilt for $110.

I’ll be the first to admit, coming into the season I knew not a thing about the the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. They may actually be one of the first teams I have bet on since starting this site which I had to Google their team name. Regardless, ULM not only beat Arkansas to open the season in the one of the biggest college football upsets of recent memory, they also went to Auburn and took them into overtime. I still think they could have won that game had they not gone for it on 4th down in OT.

Regardless of the outcome, this ULM team comes back home playing some confident football. Baylor has become a big name thanks to RGIII last season, but I don’t have much faith in their defense and Nick Florence doesn’t scare me all that much yet. While I think Baylor will find a way to win, I look for ULM to give them a little scare. Taking ULM +4.5 (+105) 1st half for $50 and also full game +9 (-105) for $52.50.

UPDATED 9/21/2012 10:05 PM) –  Looks like ULM is giving Baylor all they have as expected. Too bad they went for it on 4th down instead of kicking a short field goal towards the end of the  first half. Taking over 35.5 (-115) 2nd half for $57.5 and hoping ULm keeps this game close!

Lost my last four bets after a hot streak last weekend, but looking to turn things back around today. Sticking with my early season philosophy of betting what I know best in college football, taking Northwester -1.5 (-120) vs. BC 1st half for $60. Also taking Northwester -4 (-110) for the game for $55. On top of the Northwestern bets, also expecting Arkansas to come out fired up after last weekend’s embarrassment and keep this game within reason early. Taking them getting 11.5 (-110) 1st half against Alabama for $55.

UPDATE (9/15/2012 5:20 PM) – Well had I know n Tyler Wilson would be ruled out right at kickoff I surely would not have taken Arkansas, but that is what I get for betting something unsure. Luckily, I covered Northwestern right as the half expired to go 1-1. Taking under 21 (-115) Alabama vs. Arkansas 2nd half for $57.50. Also still feeling good about Northwestern and taking them -2 (-110) 2nd half for $110.

UPDATE (9/15/2012 6:03 PM) – Taking over 56 (-115) in USC vs. Stanford for $57.50.

Won the first 3 bets (which makes it 5 in a row now) and have 3 still open. The last post was getting a little too long so I decided to start a fresh one. For some late action, taking over 70.5 (-110) in the Oklahoma St. vs. Arizona game tonight for $55.

UPDATE (9/9/2012 12:17 AM) – Last bets of the night going on some Pac-12 games. Taking under 26.5 (-110) in the 2nd half of Stanford vs. Duke and over 35 (-110) in the 2nd half of Oklahoma St vs. Arizona (-110) each for $55.
